VerifEye is a mobile application available for Android and Apple devices that rapidly and accurately verifies truthfulness by measuring involuntary ocular behavior.
When a VerifEye test is administered in combination with other assessment tools, it adds validity to the selection or review process. VerifEye is an open truth verification test designed to directly measure a participant’s memory of past experiences, including counterproductive or dishonest behavior.

How does VerifEye work?
The application turns any smartphone into an infrared optical scanner and, using complex algorithms, determines a “reliability/credibility score.”
When a person is being deceptive, their autonomic nervous system triggers physiological responses that cannot be controlled. The greater the lie, the higher the cognitive load. Our eyes reflect these changes in cognitive effort.
The person being examined receives a link on their mobile phone and answers a series of questions without third-party intervention, using their phone as an optical scanner terminal.
The credibility “score” shows the probability that the person was truthful.
What happens during a test?
A short video tutorial provides instructions on how to take the test. The person being examined then spends approximately 10 minutes answering questions verbally. The phone’s camera measures ocular behaviors, the speaker delivers the questions, and the microphone records the responses. Once the test is completed, the responses and ocular measurements are analyzed and scored, indicating the level of truthfulness.
